Artist Biography
Maureen Osborne
An artist from a young age, Maureen’s foundation was built by her mother, Phyllis, who instilled in her a lifelong love for creative expression. Her formal training includes studies in the Chicago suburbs, classes at the Art Institute of Chicago, and a Bachelor of Studio Art with a focus on Art History from California State University, Long Beach. This deep historical grounding richly informs her creative practice.
As an educator, Maureen uniquely integrates art history into her drawing, acrylic and watercolor painting classes, bringing the stories of Art Masters to life to inspire students of all ages. Her own artwork— spanning acrylics, watercolor, photography, drawing and mixed media—captures the warmth and tranquility of the natural world. She frequently depicts serene waterfront scenes and everyday pleasures, from beach
days to walks by the London Bridge in Lake Havasu.
Maureen’s work is held in numerous private collections and has been exhibited across California and Arizona. Her notable endeavors include the coast-to-coast "Make Mine a Double" Sketchbook tour, the international "Beach Postcard Project," and her social media initiative, MzMo'zArt’s Flip Flop Fun, and new "Where is Mz Mo’s Art?."
