Artist Biography

I was born in 1938 deaf and I drew pictures to communicate with people...there was a world war going on and hearing aids didn’t exist...I went to a speech therapist and learned to lip read and speak. All through my school years I went to the Art Institute of Chicago to study Art...I majored in Industrial design in College...I also raced sailboats and won my first boat race when I was eleven...that led me to the boat business full time by the time I was twenty...here in Havasu I was the first boat dealer over forty years ago owning Havasu Marine across from Ford on Hwy 95...I owned Captain Hooks in Bullhead City and Countryshire Auto Marine Havasu‘s first Sea Doo dealer. I later sold these businesses and started Havasu Motor Sports and Storage on Dover Avenue.  I got out of the boat business and started Havasu Art Center with nine other great people! Here we are!
